Former India skipper MS Dhoni, who has been rested for the upcoming T20I series against Australia, set the social media as he got down to the Kabaddi mat. Dhoni, on Tuesday, was involved in a shoot for the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL), in Mumbai.

Rhiti Sports posted some pictures of Dhoni spending time in the Kabaddi floor with the caption: "MS Dhoni on set in Mumbai! #shootday #mahi #dhoni #msd."

The 37-year-old's love for bikes has been well documented over the years and now the legendary keeper-batsman has got down to the Kabaddi floor much to the delight of his fans.

On the cricket field though, Dhoni's exclusion from the West Indies and Australia T20I series is still one of the most talked about topics in Indian cricket.

There have been speculations that the exclusion could well be the beginning of the end of Dhoni's career in the shortest format of the game.

However, the selection committee clarified that the most successful Indian captain had been rested and India are now in search of his successor, who would fill the slot of the second wicketkeeper.

Former India keeper and now chief selector MSK Prasad did mention that it was not the end of Dhoni's T20 career. "Not yet. We want to try out other keepers for the second keeper's slot," Prasad had said.

Dinesh Karthik and Rishabh Pant are being groomed as Dhoni's successor. Pant has age by his side compared to Karthik who has already crossed 30 years of age. But it was Karthik who donned the gloves in the recently-concluded West Indies T20I series. Pant showed his explosive batting style in the final T20I against the Windies in the final T20I at Chepauk.

Even Kohli backed Dhoni, who had led to T20 World title in 2007, stating that he was a key part of the side.

Kohli went on to state: "I think the selectors have already addressed this if I'm not wrong. And he's been spoken to, firstly. So, I don't see any reason why I should be sitting here and explaining that. I think the selectors have come out and explained exactly what happened."

For now, Dhoni is certainly making the most of his break.
