MS Dhoni's private information leaked, irate Sakshi Dhoni responds on Twitter
What’s the story?
When former India captain MS Dhoni updated his Aadhaar Card details, it was supposed to be a great moment for the Common Services Centre (CSC – a government body involved with the implementing the Aadhaar card scheme). But the incident ended on a sour note due to a goof-up on CSC's official Twitter account.

While they took to the social networking platform to express their delight and to entice more people to sign up for the Aadhaar Card, they also divulged important personal information by sharing a screenshot of Dhoni’s official application form.
The details
In their tweet, they also copied Ravi Shankar Prasad, India’s Union Minister holding Law and Justice and Minister of IT who promptly retweeted the same with his own special message. Sakshi Dhoni, wife of MS, replied to him to share her displeasure about the entire episode.
What RS Prasad was unaware of by liking CSC’s original tweet and then proceeding to retweet the same was that the CSC had posted another photo, with a screenshot of Dhoni’s application form.
Sakshi wasted no time in getting to the point –
The context
When Sakshi originally raised the issue, RS Prasad was unaware of what she was referring to. He replied saying that no private information was actually leaked and that this was just a simple picture of Dhoni. He was later left red-faced when she produced a screenshot of the form.
What’s next?
It was certainly an embarrassing moment for the Union Minister on the social media platform. While Sakshi was curt with her replies to him during the entire conversation, she made sure she ended the incident with grace.
Author’s take
Social media is the primary source of information to an entire generation nowadays. It is very easy to leak information even if the intention was never to do so. The government bodies need to ensure that more care is taken while handling their social media channels as it affects a whole number of people.
The only saving grace was that the screenshot was not very clear and thus hopefully no major damage was done. We salute Sakshi Dhoni for her courage and her gusto in dealing with the situation remarkably.
