The ‘Champion’ dance from the West Indian cricketers has gone viral during the ICC World T20 as the team from the Caribbean islands have been using it as a celebration during the tournament.
The song, released by Dwayne Bravo in March 2016, has caught the imagination of all cricket fans. A video of Bravo, captain Darren Sammy and Chris Gayle celebrating after the win over India with the song has gone viral over the last 24 hours.
The lyrics of the song hails West Indian cricketers like Gayle, Brian Lara, Sir Vivian Richards, Malcolm Marshall and Bravo himself as champions. The song also refers to sportspersons from other fields such as Usain Bolt and Serena Williams, and political figures like Nelson Mandela and Barack Obama.
This is the third single that Bravo has released after 'Go Gyal Go' and 'Chalo Chalo'. He has also played a small role in the Tamil film Ula.
The West Indies will be hoping to win the World T20 for the second time after winning the competition in 2012. They will be facing England in the final at the Eden Gardens on Sunday.
