England becomes the first team to win 100 Test matches by an innings
The Nottingham Test which saw England completely outplaying Australia in all ways had ended as a match with few important landmarks for the team and players. Stuart Broad completed 300 wickets and also got his best figures of his Test career, Alastair Cook won his 50th game as England player and more.
One of the important milestones for English cricket was that the team became the first to win 100 Test matches by a margin of an innings.
England defeated Australia by an innings and 78 runs in the fourth Test at Trent Bridge in Nottingham to take an unbeatable lead of 3-1 in the Ashes 2015 and regain the Ashes. The victory by an innings was England’s 100th such victory in their Test cricket history and they are the first to reach this landmark. Australia is next behind with 85 innings wins.
