England v Sri Lanka, 4th ODI: Stats - Roy masterclass gives England a series win over Sri Lanka

Jason Roy celebrating his century against Sri Lanka in the fourth ODI

England sealed a convincing six-wicket win over Sri Lanka at The Oval on Wednesday in the fourth ODI to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the five-match series. After Sri Lanka was put into bat first, half-centuries from four batsmen helped them post a total of 305 in 42 overs after rain had shortened the innings.

In reply, England had to chase a revised target of 308 in 42 overs. The home side was powered home by an in-form Jason Roy, who scored a 118-ball 162. Joe Root's partnership with Roy helped lay the foundation for the perfect chase as England reached the target wit 11 balls to spare.
