Fantasy Matchday 2: KXIP vs DD and KKR vs RCB
IPL 2018 started off with a cracker of a game between the returning Chennai Super Kings and three-time champions, Mumbai Indians. We hope your Fantasy IPL season started off with a bang too!
It is time to pick your squad for Matchday 2 where Delhi Daredevils face off against Kings XI Punjab in the day game today, and Kolkata Knight Riders face off the Royal Challengers Bangalore, later in the evening. All four teams revamped their line-ups significantly in the auction.
Here are some of our suggestions for you to consider while picking your squad today.
5 Best Value for Money players:
#1 Colin Munro (8.7 M) - He has been in good form and performed well in India during the last tour. He is likely to open the batting for DD and pitch in with a few overs too.
#2 Chris Morris (8.7M) - Morris is a key player for DD, and is likely to bowl in the PowerPlay as we as in death overs. He will have to play the role of a hitter since Maxwell is not available.
#3 Washington Sundar (8.7 M) - He has been bowling well for India in the Powerplays and is likely to carry on the same role for RCB too this season.
#4 Andre Russell (9.7M) – He has a bigger role in both batting and bowling for KKR this season and is one of the first names to be considered while picking players from KKR.
#5 AJ Tye (9.1 M) – He is a T20 specialist and that is why KXIP went all the way for him in the auction. He can contribute with the bat down the order too.
5 Best Uncapped Players:
#1 Mayank Agarwal (7.8 M) - He has been in terrific form in the domestic circuit and is likely to open the batting for KXIP since Finch is not available today.
#2 Shahbaz Nadeem (7.6 M) - Nadeem has been a consistent performer for DD and is capable of bowling in the powerplay as well.
#3 Nitish Rana (9.4 M) - He had a very good season for the title-winning Mumbai Indians last season and is starting a fresh innings with KKR. He will play a key role for KKR in the middle order.
#4 Manan Vohra (7.8 M) - He is likely to open the batting along with Quinton de Kock. He has the talent but will this be the season where he starts to perform consistently?
#5 Sarfaraz Khan (8.7 M) – RCB have shown great faith in him by retaining him ahead of a few big names. He was troubled by injury in the domestic season but is now back and will have a big role to play in the RCB middle order.
