GIF: Bizarre! JP Duminy 'assists' Corey Anderson to dismiss Hashim Amla

Hashim Amla fell victim to a bizarre dismissal today in World T20 when hit hit a ball straight at JP Duminy at the non-striker’s end.

Duminy tried to get out of the way but ended up lobbing the ball up in the air off his bat. Corey Anderson was quick enough to react to the situation and grabbed the rebound.

Though it’s not the first instance of such an ‘assist’ dismissal happening, it sure is rare!

Duminy more than made up for that by hitting 86 off 43 deliveries, helping South Africa post 170/6 on the board at the end of 20 overs.
