Graeme Swann set to make TV commentary debut with Sky Sports

Graeme Swann

Sky Sports looks likely to be the platform where retired England cricketer Graeme Swann will make his TV debut as a pundit. Reports suggest that Sky have offered the former off-spinner a role for the World Twenty20 in March.

Swann, who retired midway through England’s disastrous Ashes tour of Australia, will also be offered other roles on Sky including the remodeled Friends Life T20 league.

Swann was at Sky’s headquarters in London for talks with sports chief Barney Francis and seemes pretty keen on his new role.

Francis had earlier said that he wasn’t interested in adding Swann to the burgeoning number of ex-England players on Sky.

Although Sky are unlikely to be bothered by Swann continuing with his BBC Radio 5 Live magazine show Not Just Cricket that he co-hosts with James Anderson and Greg James, the channel might object to Swann working for BT Sport, who had been favorites to employ him.
