Herschelle Gibbs and Adam Gilchrist engage in Twitter banter after MCL auction
They say cricketers often don’t know what to do with their time, once they call time on their career. But it seems as though, that particular school of thought doesn’t apply to former South African opener Herschelle Gibbs.
When he is not busy countering an Australian captain’s viewpoint on the ideal Test pitch, or playing golf in the Middle East, watching rugby or spending time with his childhood heroes, he find time for Twitter.
Not just some time, whether it is responding to fans’ comments or sharing his views on the India-South Africa series or even cricket in general, Gibbs seems to spend a lot of time on Twitter.
So it was no surprise to see Gibbs engaging in a Twitter banter with Adam Gilchrist during the Masters Champions League auction. The pair, not only enjoyed a lot of good games against each other, playing for South Africa and Australia, but also played together, for the Deccan Chargers in the IPL.
So what provoked the conversation? This did.
