T20 cricket ever since its advent in 2003, has transformed cricket in the 21st century just like Kerry Packer did with the World Series of Cricket back in the late 70s and early 80s of the last century.

Like every new product, T20 cricket too had its detractors who feared the purity of cricket was at stake and that the bowlers would be deemed no more than a bowling machine.

During the ten year history of the Indian premier league, we have seen numerous instances where the art of six-hitting is reduced to a mere mockery, where more sixes are hit in contrast to the boundaries.

That said, in this blog today we'll look at the matches with the highest sixes to fours ratio.

Here's the compilation:

#4 Kings XI Punjab vs. Royal Challengers Bangalore, Indore, 2017

The match in total had 20 sixes and 17 boundaries, constituting the sixes to fours ratio as 1.18.

Ratio: 1.18 (20:17)

It was an exhibition of six-hitting at the Holkar stadium in Indore when the Royal Challengers Bangalore took on the Kings XI Punjab.

Batting first, RCB were reduced to 3-22, having lost Shane Watson, Vishnu Vinod, and Kedhar Jadhav cheaply.

It was AB De Villiers who came to fore as the talisman South African smashed 89 off 46 balls, an innings that constituted nine sixes and three fours.

De Villiers was ably supported by Mandeep Singh (28, including a four and a six) to take RCB to a respectable 4-148.

However, a rampaging KXIP batting line-up boasting of the likes of Vohra (34), Amla (58, including three sixes and four boundaries), and Glenn Maxwell (43, including four sixes and three 4s) chased down the target with ease in 14.3 overs.

The match in total had 20 sixes and 17 boundaries, constituting the sixes to fours ratio as 1.18.
