I have a lot of cricket still left in me says Irfan Pathan
Out of favour Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan has said he still has a lot of cricket left in him and that people should respect him for the fact that he has bagged around 300 international wickets. “When I am asked whether I have any regrets in my career, I tell them, “The question disrespects the fact that I have 300 international wickets.” I deserve some credit for my performances. I am only 31 and I have a lot of cricket left,” Irfan was quoted by the Hindu.
He also believes he can make a comeback into the Indian team this season after recovering from an injury which had sidelined him for much of last year. “Last year, I was just feeling my way back after recovering from injury. This year, I would be playing a lot more.”Irfan actually has 301 international wickets to his credit from 29 Tests, 120 One-Day Internationals and 24 T20Is.

Another left-arm Indian seamer Ashish Nehra who has enjoyed success over the last few years in the T20 format has finally switched to a smartphone which was gifted to him by his wife. “I use Whatsapp these days but am still away from much of the social media. I don’t really know what’s happening,” Nehra said.
The veteran left arm pacer also said he was recovering from an injury and that he was not yet fully fit to play again. “People mix things up, between a player who is injured and a player who is unfit. A cricketer who is injured will need treatment and recovery period but someone who is basically unfit will struggle to perform his basic tasks as a cricketer,” he said.
Nehra also spoke about T20s, a format which has helped revive his sinking career.“You cannot really judge batsmen in this format. But you can judge a bowler. In a format essentially designed to favour batsmen, the bowlers, who were up against it, had responded skilfully,” Nehra said.
The left-arm pacer also felt the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) would encourage youngsters and provide them with the right kind of platform to launch themselves.A few days back a photograph of Nehra and India Test captain Virat Kohli went viral where Kohli, then a school boy, is seen receiving a prize from Nehra.“That picture has become famous because of Kohli and what he has accomplished, not me.”
