I have done nothing wrong: Raj Kundra on betting scandal

The latest to join the list of IPL spot fixing and betting scandals is Rajasthan Royals owner – Raj Kundra.

After BCCI chief N Srinivasan’s son-in-law Gurunath Meiyappan was allegedly caught gambling on IPL teams, Kundra, the Delhi Police claim, has reportedly owned up to placing bets of over Rs 1 crore on his team.

But Kundra who insists that he has not done anything wrong said that he will issue a clarification soon.

Kundra on Thursday tweeted,

The Delhi Police has revealed that Kundra, and his wife and co-owner Shilpa Shetty had placed bets through friend Umesh Goenka in the last three seasons of the Indian Premier League.

Delhi Police Chief Neeraj Kumar also admitted that while no clean chit has been given to Kundra, there isn’t enough proof against him to put him behind bars.
