ICC World T20 2016 Schedule for Warm-Up Round announced
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the match timings for the World T20 matches and released the schedule for the warm-up matches.
There are a total of 27 warm-up matches (17 men and 10 women) scheduled ahead of the World T20. The matches will be held at 6 venues with the men’s matches are scheduled for Dharamsala, Mohali, Mumbai and Kolkata and the women’s matches will be taking place at Chennai and Bengaluru.
Indian men’s team will face West Indies at Kolkata on the 10th of March and South Africa at Mumbai a couple of days later. The women's team will square-off against Ireland at Bengaluru on 10th of march and Srilanka at the same venue a couple of days later.
The ICC also confirmed that if Oman, Hongkong or Afghanistan reach the second round of the Asia Cup, then their warm-up matches will be rescheduled accordingly.
As far as the timings for the World T20 matches are concerned, the men’s afternoon matches will start at 3 PM IST while the evening matches will be played from 7:30 PM IST. The semi-finals and the final will be held from 7 PM IST
The women’s afternoon matches will start at 3:30 IST while the evening matches will take place from 7:30 PM IST. The semi-finals and the finals will be played before the men’s matches and will start at 2:30 PM IST.
