ICC ODI Bowlers Rankings: Bhuvneshwar Kumar enters top 10 for first time in his career
Indian pace bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who has had a good start to his One Day International (ODI) career after making his debut in December 2012, against Pakistan, has entered into the top 10 of the Reliance ICC ODI bowlers rankings for the first time in his career.
The 24-year-old right-arm medium pace bowler, with 44 wickets in 42 matches at an economy rate of 4.60 so far, has jumped seven places to now sit at the seventh spot in the rankings for the bowlers. His partner Mohammed Shami, on the other hand, broke into the top 20 – again for the first time – after emerging as the leading wicket-taker in the just concluded home series against West Indies.
Ravindra Jadeja is at the 6th spot, while Ravichandran Ashwin, rested for the recent series, dropped two places to 18. Pakistan spinner Saeed Ajmal, banned from bowling recently for chucking, continues to be at the top spot, with 770 rating points. West Indian mystery spinner Sunil Narine, again under the suspect action cloud following his ban from the BCCI organised tournaments, and Dale Steyn occupy 2nd and 3rd spots respectively.
