ICC ODI Batsmen Rankings: Back in form Virat Kohli at second spot

Indian batsman Virat Kohli, who signalled his return to form with a 114-ball 127 against West Indies in the fourth and final One Day International (ODI) of the just concluded series against West Indies, has grabbed the 2nd spot in the recently released Reliance ICC ODI rankings for batsmen.

While the Indian captain MS Dhoni continues to hold on to the number 6 spot, opener Shikhar Dhawan dropped one place to 8th position and Suresh Raina, who has been in stellar form of late, moved three places up to 15th.

South Africa’s AB de Villiers leads the charts with 869 rating points and will be looking forward to stabilising his position with telling performances in the upcoming 3-match series against New Zealand in New Zealand.

With the exception of Ross Taylor, ruled out of the home series due to a calf injury, and George Bailey, as Australia next play an ODI only on November 14, all the other 8 batsmen in the list are in action in the coming days, which would mean some changes can be expected in the order.
