ICC World Cup 2019: 3 bowlers who could be key to India's success
With the 2019 World Cup around the corner, fans around the globe are bouncing off the walls. The most-awaited cricketing event in 2019, hosted by England and Wales, is going to kick off on 30 May 2019.
The road to glory would open their gates in about four months from now, and the participating teams are burning the candles at both ends whilst preparing to claim the biggest prize in international cricket.
Considering this is the World Cup, no team can be tagged superior or inferior. Although, eyes around the globe would be set upon the performances of the winners from the last two World Cups - India and Australia.
Having won their maiden bilateral ODI series on Australian soil, India have established themselves as one of the leading contenders.
Let's take a look at three bowlers who could be playing key roles in India's World Cup journey in 2019.
#3 Kuldeep Yadav
The left-arm chinaman bowler has maintained an impressive record in all formats of the game since making his debut against Australia in 2017. Kuldeep Yadav has featured in 35 ODIs and has picked up 69 wickets thus far.
Apart from being a great threat to the opposing batsmen, the reliable spinner does not concede too many runs and has maintained an impressive economy-rate of 4.81. The left-hander is currently on the third spot in ICC's rankings for ODI bowlers. He is only behind his teammate Jasprit Bumrah and Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan.
With his staggering numbers to support the claim, it is safe to say that Kuldeep is shaping up to become one of the biggest assets for India's journey in the World Cup.
