Complete ICC World T20 2014 schedule

ICC World T20 2014

For the first time in the history of the tournament, 16 teams would feature in World T20. The tournament includes ten full members and six associate members who qualified through the 2013 ICC World T20 qualifiers.

The top eight (full members) will directly enter the Super 10 stage. The rest of the eight teams will compete in the group stage, from which two teams advance to the Super 10 stage.

The schedule of the ICC World T20 2014, Bangladesh is given below along with the groups.

Warm-up matches

16 warm-up matches will be played between 12th and 19th March featuring all 16 teams.

Qualifying stage

This is the initial stage of the tournament where only the latter eight countries will participate. Eight nations are divided into two groups, Group A and Group B.

Group A

This group features 4 countries, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Hong Kong and Nepal.

Group B

This group features 4 countries, Zimbabwe, Netherlands, United Arab Emirates and Ireland.

Super 10

The top 8 nations in the ICC T20 rankings features in this round along with the winners of Group A and Group B.

Group 1

South Africa, Sri Lanka, England, New Zealand and winner of Group B will be placed in Group 1.

Group 2

The winner of Group A will feature in Group 2 along with India, Australia, Pakistan and West Indies.

Knock-out stages

On 3rd April, winner of Group 1 will face Group 2′s runner-up tea, and on 4th April, Group 2′s winner will face the runner-up team of Group 1.

The final will played on 6th April between the winner of semi final 1 and 2.

*The start time is mentioned in DST (local time in Bangladesh). Matches in India will start half an hour before the stated time.
