[In Pictures] Rishabh Pant steps out in New York to have coffee with his teammates ahead of IND vs PAK 2024 T20 World Cup clash
Team India wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant was recently seen going out in New York to have coffee with teammates Axar Patel and Mohammed Siraj. The trio is part of the Indian contingent in the US to participate in the ongoing 2024 T20 World Cup.
The Men in Blue commenced their campaign in the tournament with a resounding eight-wicket win against Ireland on Wednesday (June 5) at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York.
Pant played a crucial role in the paltry chase of 96, hitting an unbeaten knock of 36 (26). He also finished off the match in style with a sensational innovative six over the wicket-keeper.
Mohammed Siraj and Axar Patel were also part of the Indian playing XI in the match, and they picked up one wicket each in the first innings. Team India will be back in action on Sunday (June 9), when they will lock horns with their arch-rivals Pakistan.
Rishabh Pant took to his official X handle and gave a glimpse of his off-field activities to the fans by sharing a couple of pictures. In it, he could be seen alongside Siraj and Axar. Pant captioned the post:

"He could end up India's highest run-getter"- Dinesh Karthik's prediction about Rishabh Pant in 2024 T20 World Cup
Former India cricketer Dinesh Karthik recently analyzed Rishabh Pant's knock in the T20 World Cup match against Ireland and felt that the southpaw was looking in great rhythm.
He opined that it was a good sign for the Indian team and predicted that Pant might end up as the team's leading run-scorer in the tournament. Speaking to Cricbuzz on the matter, Karthik said:
"I genuinely felt he (Rishabh Pant) batted outstandingly well. I would actually go out on a limb to say that he could end up India's highest run-getter. He is getting into great positions and his choice of shots very, very good; I really enjoyed it. He has got his mojo back in terms of how he wants to approach an inning."
On the advantage of Pant being present for Team India in the top order, Karthik said:
"Very aggressive right from the start, but more importantly, the way he got into positions to play certain shots tells me that he is going to be very, very potent in this World Cup. It's a great sign for India because left-hander, top of the order, taking on bowlers, plays spin brilliantly, and he is one of those guys if he gets going, he will win you a game comfortably. Couldn't be happier for him."
