The tickets rates for the 3rd and final Test between India and New Zealand at Indore have been announced. Indore as a city has undergone turbulent times in the world of cricket. After an incident in 2001, no matches were staged in the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium thereafter.

Now, the matches are played at the Holkar stadium, which has a capacity of around 30,000 people. It will be a historic occasion on the 8th of October as it will be the first time that a Test match is staged at the Holkar Stadium, ending a 15 year wait for a Test in the city.

The Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association are making efforts to ensure that they showcase their ability to hold a Test match and are sparing no costs to ensure the perfect Test match. They announced that tickets for the matches will range from Rs. 350 to Rs. 2500, making it very affordable for fans to purchase tickets.

Further, the MPCA also approached the Madhya Pradesh government in an ensure to get full rebate on the entertainment tax for the game, which could see ticket prices drop further for the Test.

“Nearly 18,000 to 20,000 tickets of the Test match between India and New Zealand will be available for sale in the range of Rs 350 to Rs 2,500. The dates when the tickets are available for sale will be announced soon,”, MPCA’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Rohit Pandit said.

Speaking about the entertainment tax, he added, “We are waiting for the state government’s reply on the issue. Depending upon the response, the rates of the tickets may get altered.”

While it has been a 15 year wait for a Test match, the fans in Indore got to enjoy a ODI match as recently as last year when India hosted South Africa.

A packed house is expected as Test cricket returns to Indore after such a long wait, with the rates of the tickets just bringing further joy to the fans.
