IND vs SA 2024, 4th T20I: India Player Ratings as Tilak & Samson tons demolish Proteas

Team India demolished South Africa in the fourth and final T20I by a whopping 135-run margin in Johannesburg on Friday, November 15. With the win, the Men in Blue won the series convincingly, by a 3-1 scoreline.

Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and elected to bat first, after which India's batters made the most of excellent batting conditions at the Wanderers to amass 283/1. The Proteas were well and truly blown away in the chase, losing four wickets in the powerplay and eventually falling well short.

On that note, here are India's player ratings from the fourth T20I against South Africa.

IND vs SA 2024, 4th T20I: Tilak, Samson & Abhishek destroy South Africa

Abhishek Sharma: 8/10

Abhishek was granted a lifeline early on but made the most of it with some sensational shots on either side of the wicket. His brisk cameo gave India a great start in the powerplay.

Sanju Samson: 9.5/10

Fresh off consecutive ducks, Samson was a bit watchful at the start. He soon got into his groove and notched up his third T20I century and second of the series. The opener played some scintillating shots against both pace and spin, carrying his bat through the innings.

Suryakumar Yadav: 5/10

Suryakumar didn't need to bat and receives a standard rating. His decision to allow Tilak Varma to take the No. 3 role has been immense.

Tilak Varma: 9.5/10

If Tilak's knock in Centurion was good, this one was simply unbelievable. The left-hander accessed areas all around the ground with frightening ease, smashing the Protea bowlers into submission. His unbeaten 120-run knock came at an astonishing strike rate of 255.31.

Hardik Pandya: 9/10

Hardik bowled three threatening overs in the powerplay that went for just eight runs. He got the ball to seam around and prised out Ryan Rickelton.

Axar Patel: 8/10

Axar came into the attack late and helped himself to two wickets in the two overs he bowled. The match was all but done by then.

Rinku Singh: 5/10

Rinku didn't have much to do in the fourth T20I and receives a standard rating.

Ramandeep Singh: 6/10

Ramandeep made his bowling debut in international cricket, sending down 20 balls. He got the ball to move away from the right-hander, even though he went for a few runs. The all-rounder claimed his maiden international wicket to wrap up the chase and was unlucky not to have more.

Varun Chakaravarthy: 6.5/10

Chakarvarthy's lengths weren't perfect once again, and David Miller took a liking to him at times. He still picked up two wickets to close out what was a special series.

Ravi Bishnoi: 7/10

Bishnoi overpitched at times, but he was decent, given the conditions on offer. He dropped a catch in the deep and nearly shelled a steepler in the powerplay. The leg-spinner dismissed the dangerous Tristan Stubbs.

Arshdeep Singh: 9.5/10

Arshdeep's new-ball spell ensured that the beaten-down South African lineup was never in with the slightest sniff during the chase. The left-armer got considerable swing in both directions and constantly posed questions to the opposition top order. He finished with three deserved wickets.
