Last India vs Australia Women's T20 match
The last time these two teams met in a WT20I was when Australia toured India back in January this year. It was a three-game T20I series, with all games hosted at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. With series at 1-1, the third T20I was expected to be a thriller.
However, Australia recorded an easy win to take home the series, under the leadership of Alyssa Healy. After putting India to bat first, Aussies restricted the hosts to 147/6. While Shafali Verma (26) and Smriti Mandhana (29) failed to convert their stars, both Jemimah Rodrigues and Harmanpreet Kaur failed.
However, Richa Ghosh's 34 added the much-needed impetus for India. For Australia, Annabel Sutherland and Georgia Wareham bagged two wickets each.
In reply, Australia chased down the target with eight balls to spare. Alyssa Healy bludgeoned a fifty alongside Beth Mooney, who also made a 45-ball 52*. The southpaw also hit the winning runs too.
