India’s Shikhar Dhawan hammered South Africa A bowelrs all over the park in the on going tri-series to score a massive 248 runs. India’s captain Cheteshwar Pujara won the toss and elected to bat first on belter of a pitch and India’s top order did not disappoint as India finished with 433 runs in their 50 overs.
However, it was Shikhar Dhawan who stood out with his innings of 248 runs off 150 balls. He smashed 30 fours and 7 sixes. He also became the highest scorer in a List A game for India. South African bowlers looked hapless throughout the innings as India A scored at the run rate of above 8 runs an over for most of the innings.
Dhawan and Vijay posted 91 runs for the opening wicket which was followed by a mammoth partnership of 285 runs with skipper Pujara, who contributed 109 off 97 balls, which propelled India to the mammoth total of 433/3.
South Africa will be chasing a huge target of 434 runs. The winner of this match will play in the final against Australia A.
