India A vs West Indies A: Spinners put West Indies A in command
With a lead of 314 runs and seven wickets in hand, West Indies A ended day three of the first unofficial Test at the Gangothri Glades Cricket Ground, Mysore, on a strong note.
Resuming the day on 124/3, India A were restricted to 245 as spinners Veerasammy Permaul and Nikita Miller picked up all the seven Indian wickets to fall in the day.
Manpreet Juneja waged a lone battle as the visitors kept plugging away wickets at regular intervals to leave him stranded in the middle before being trapped lbw by Permaul for 84.
In reply, openers Kraigg Brathwaite and Kieran Powell got West Indies A off to a promising start with a 112-run stand.
Parvez Rasool pegged back the advantage with a couple of late wickets- Brathwaite and Narsingh Deonarine- while Rajat Paliwal accounted for Powell, who had scored 68 off just 88 balls. The day came to an end with the visitors scoring 130 runs for the loss of three wickets.
