India and Daredevils' pacer Umesh Yadav gets engaged in a private ceremony

India and Delhi Daredevils pacer Umesh Yadav got engaged to Tania Wadhwa, a fashion designer, in Nagpur earlier today.

The talented speedster held a private ceremony which took place in his Ramdaspeth flat. His team is scheduled to play against RCB at M. Chinnaswamy stadium tomorrow.

After the engagement, Umesh said, “We met in Delhi and then our friendship grew… and then I proposed her.

“We decided to get married after a year’s courtship and our families agreed.”

The couple has planned their marriage after IPL.

“We will get formally married on May 29, after the Indian Premier League. I came all the way from Bangalore for a day like this,” said the 26-year-old pacer.

Tania Wadhwa is a 24-year-old, Delhi based fashion designer.

Tania said, “It was not love at first sight. It grew gradually. I like him as a person and I keep advising him about his career.”

Umesh Yadav has been a regular feature of the Indian side since his debut, but his injuries have forced him to be out of action quite often. His IPL team Delhi Daredevils have still not managed to win a game this year.
