India Predicted Playing 11 vs Bangladesh for Match 47 of 2024 T20 World Cup
Team India will face Bangladesh in Match 47 of the 2024 T20 World Cup at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua on Saturday, June 22. The Men in Blue can take a massive step towards qualifying for the semifinals if they come out on top in this Super 8 clash.
India made a change for the first time in the tournament against Afghanistan, with Kuldeep Yadav replacing Mohammed Siraj in the side. While Siraj is still a contender to feature, Rohit Sharma and company might not want to make too many changes to a side that has been doing well so far.
India's squad for the 2024 T20 World Cup: Rohit Sharma (captain), Hardik Pandya (vice-captain), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant (wk), Sanju Samson (wk), Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Arshdeep Singh, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj.
Reserves: Shubman Gill, Rinku Singh, Khaleel Ahmed, Avesh Khan.
On that note, here is India's predicted playing XI for Match 47 of the 2024 T20 World Cup against Bangladesh.
Openers: Rohit Sharma (c), Virat Kohli
Rohit Sharma has failed three times in a row in the aftermath of his match-winning knock against Ireland. The Indian skipper will take heart from the fact that he has a good record against Bangladesh and will need to deliver on what is expected to be a tricky surface.
Virat Kohli is having the worst T20 World Cup campaign of his career. While he did manage to cross double figures against Afghanistan, he looked completely out of sorts before being dismissed by Rashid Khan. The former captain desperately needs a notable knock.
Middle order: Rishabh Pant (wk), Suryakumar Yadav, Shivam Dube, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel
India's middle order has remained unchanged throughout the T20 World Cup.
Suryakumar Yadav has come to the party, with crucial knocks in the last two matches. Rishabh Pant has done his bit in the powerplay, while Hardik Pandya came up with a few big hits against Afghanistan.
However, the southpaw duo of Shivam Dube and Ravindra Jadeja need to do more. Another promotion for Axar Patel might be on the cards, given how poorly Dube and Jadeja have handled plans thrown at them so far.
Lower order: Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh
Mohammed Siraj enjoys bowling against Bangladesh, and there is a case for him to be picked ahead of Arshdeep Singh, who has been wayward on occasion. However, the left-arm pacer has been fairly penetrative with the new ball and could be persisted with for now.
Kuldeep Yadav picked up a couple of wickets in his first game of the tournament against Afghanistan and is expected to play a pivotal role in the West Indies leg. The left-arm wrist-spinner is one of the world's best bowlers and should be one of the first names on the teamsheet.
