India Predicted Playing 11 vs England for Semifinal 2 of 2024 T20 World Cup

India will face off against England in the second semifinal of the 2024 T20 World Cup on Thursday, June 26. The contest will be played at the Providence Stadium in Guyana.

The Men in Blue have had an excellent tournament so far and are unbeaten heading into the knockouts. They eased through the group stage before notching up a couple of memorable wins in the Super 8s. Changes aren't likely for India, given how their competition has progressed.

India's squad for the 2024 T20 World Cup: Rohit Sharma (captain), Hardik Pandya (vice-captain), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant (wk), Sanju Samson (wk), Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Arshdeep Singh, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj.

Reserves: Shubman Gill, Rinku Singh, Khaleel Ahmed, Avesh Khan.

On that note, here is India's predicted playing XI for their 2024 T20 World Cup semifinal clash against England.

Openers: Rohit Sharma (c), Virat Kohli

Rohit Sharma was at his absolute best against Australia as he hammered a sensational 92 to set up a famous win. The Indian skipper will want to continue in the same vein against England.

Virat Kohli, however, has had a miserable T20 World Cup so far. The star batter hasn't played any notable knocks and is on the back of a five-ball duck that worsened his woes. He is known to step up under pressure, and India will hope that their main man turns up.

Middle Order: Rishabh Pant (wk), Suryakumar Yadav, Shivam Dube, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel

India's middle order is expected to be unchanged for this clash.

Rishabh Pant, Shivam Dube and Axar Patel, as three left-handers who can, on paper at least, hit spin, will be important against Adil Rashid. Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya, meanwhile, are in excellent form and will aim to keep it going in the semifinals.

Ravindra Jadeja has had a woeful T20 World Cup campaign so far, but changes aren't forthcoming in that department either. While the Men in Blue could consider bringing in an extra bowler, either Yuzvendra Chahal or Mohammed Siraj, they are primed to keep faith in the experienced left-arm spinner.

Jadeja and Axar will also have an important role to play with the ball.

Lower Order: Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh

Kuldeep Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah are two of the world's best bowlers right now. The duo will be tough to counter for England, particularly in a rain-affected game.

Arshdeep Singh has blown hot and cold but has picked up a bagful of wickets. If the left-armer can separate the fearsome opening combination of Jos Buttler and Phil Salt, India will be well on their way to victory.
