India's playing XI from Sachin Tendulkar's debut match: Where are they now?
Almost the entire cricketing world knows the inspiring journey of Sachin Tendulkar. He made his debut after a gritty passage through India's domestic circuits. His performance for Mumbai in the 1989 Ranji Season got him his chance to represent his country at the tender age of 16.
India were touring Pakistan for a 4 Test match series and 5 ODIs. Sachin was selected to play in the 1st Test in Karachi and became the 3rd youngest Test debutant at that time. The match ended in a draw and India pulled things back after trailing by 147 runs in their 1st innings. Sachin scored a shaky 15 off 24 balls and was dismissed by Waqar Younis who was making his debut as well.

#1 Kris Srikkanth
Kris Srikkanth was the captain of the Indian team when Sachin made his debut and his captaincy stint lasted for two years before Mohammed Azharuddin replaced him. In that match, Srikkanth was dismissed for 4 runs off 21 balls in the 1st innings before making 31 off 45 balls in the 2nd innings. Srikkanth, who was a fluent and aggressive stroke maker retired from international cricket in 1993. He finished off with 2062 runs in 43 Test matches averaging 29.88. In ODIs, he scored 4091 runs in 146 matches averaging 29.01. He picked up 25 wickets in ODIs.
Post retirement, he was appointed the coach of the India 'A' side. He later became a commentator and is a well known voice among the cricketing fraternity. In 2008, he became the brand ambassador of the Chennai Super Kings and in the same year, he was appointed as the Chief Selector of the Indian cricket team. His term ended 4 years later in 2012. He was made brand ambassador of the Sunrisers Hyderabad in December 2012 and is now a commentator in Tamil Sports channels and a sports rep for many tours and matches.
