India vs Bangladesh, 2024 T20 World Cup: India player ratings as Hardik & Kuldeep push Men in Blue closer to semis

Team India brushed aside Bangladesh with consummate ease in Antigua as they triumphed by 50 runs on Saturday, June 22. The Men in Blue notched up their second win of the Super 8 stage and are now within touching distance of a semifinal berth in the 2024 T20 World Cup.

India are at the top of the Group 1 in the Super 8 stage and will enter their clash against Australia high on momentum. Most of their players are in good nick, and that reflected in their performance against the Tigers.

On that note, here are India's player ratings from their T20 World Cup clash against Bangladesh.

T20 World Cup 2024, India vs Bangladesh: Hardik's all-round show supported by cameos

India v USA - ICC Men's T20 Cricket World Cup West Indies & USA 2024

Rohit Sharma: 7.5/10

Rohit got India off to a bright start, hitting three fours and a six early on. His dismissal was predictable and disappointing, but it's arguable that he did his job.

Virat Kohli: 6/10

Kohli played more balls than any other Indian batter and had the second-lowest strike rate. He showed intent throughout, but he has had no fluency in this T20 World Cup so far.

Rishabh Pant: 7/10

Pant started off terribly slowly and seemed moored at one point. Just when it seemed like he was cutting loose, clearing the boundary a couple of times, he was dismissed while attempting another reverse-sweep. The keeper also dropped one off Jasprit Bumrah.

Suryakumar Yadav: 4/10

Suryakumar's stay lasted just two balls. He pulled his first ball for six before gloving one off Tanzim Hasan Sakib. SKY plucked a good catch to dismiss Litton Das.

Shivam Dube: 6.5/10

Like Pant, Dube took ages to get going. He ended up with a strike rate of 141.6, but he didn't attack his negative matchups smartly and seemed a shadow of his destructive self.

Hardik Pandya: 8.5/10

Hardik was the star of the show as he contributed with both bat and ball. His unbeaten half-century took India to an above-par total, after which he dismissed Litton and kept things tight.

Ravindra Jadeja: 5.5/10

Jadeja was demoted to No. 8 and didn't get to bat. He bowled three wicketless overs and doesn't seem to be in the best bowling rhythm right now.

Axar Patel: 3/10

Axar had a disappointing outing. He couldn't make an impact in the five balls he batted, and the two overs he bowled went for 26 runs. The left-arm spinner is a serious liability against left-handers.

Jasprit Bumrah: 9.5/10

Bumrah was a class apart once again, conceding only one boundary in his four overs. He picked up two wickets and was unlucky not to get more rewards for his efforts.

Arshdeep Singh: 7/10

Arshdeep had an understated outing in Antigua but still managed a couple of scalps at the death. His four overs went for 30.

Kuldeep Yadav: 9.5/10

Kuldeep was the pick of the Indian bowlers as he registered a superb three-fer. He bamboozled the Bangladesh batters with his googlies and accuracy to rip apart the middle order. The left-arm wrist-spinner should be one of the first names on the teamsheet.
