The list of famous sportspersons likely to attend the historic occasion includes Sachin Tendulkar, Abhinav Bindra, Sania Mirza, PV Sindhu, and MC Mary Kom. The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) will also felicitate the team members of the first-ever Test played between India and Bangladesh back in 2000.

India won the opening Test at Indore by a margin of an innings and 130 runs. They are favourites to clinch the series 2-0 at Eden Gardens.

As part of their preparations, Team India had an optional training session under lights with the pink ball on Sunday at Indore. Earlier, opener Mayank Agarwal had stated that three pink-ball sessions under lights were also arranged by the Head of National Cricket Academy and former India captain Rahul Dravid.

Following India’s victory at Indore, Team India captain Virat Kohli had also expressed his excitement at featuring in the country’s first-ever Day-Night Test. “It's going be a landmark event for Indian cricket and Indian Test cricket,” Kohli had admitted.

The match will be played from 1 pm to 8 pm as the dew is expected to play a part if the game carries on beyond that time. The Eden Gardens Test will be the 12th Day-Night Test in the history of the cricket.
