India vs Bangladesh Match Prediction: Who will win today's 2024 T20 World Cup Super 8 match?

Things seem to be going well for India in the 2024 T20 World Cup. Barring a poor batting display against Pakistan in the group stage, the Men in Blue have been one of the more convincing teams in a competition that has forced both batters and bowlers to adapt on the fly.

India got through the group stage unscathed and were always going to ease past Afghanistan in their first match of the Super 8 stage. As they gear up to face Bangladesh in Antigua, the inaugural T20 World Cup champions are in good rhythm.

Meanwhile, the writing is on the wall for Bangladesh. While the Tigers did pip Sri Lanka to a spot in the Super 8s, they find themselves at the very bottom of the table after a heavy loss to Australia.

Najmul Hossain Shanto and Co. have serious weaknesses in their side, especially in the batting department. While they've managed to punch above their weight so far in the competition, they enter this encounter as the clear underdogs.

Bangladesh have pushed India to the limit in multiple editions of the T20 World Cup but have never been able to get over the line. Can they pull off the seemingly impossible at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium on Saturday, June 22?

Bangladesh have serious issues in the top order. Litton Das' shot selection has been atrocious, as always, and the rest of the batters haven't been able to play a free-flowing brand of cricket.

Rishad Hossain is a player to watch out for, and Towhid Hridoy is a dangerous hitter, but it's safe to say that Bangladesh don't have enough batting firepower to challenge the Indian bowlers. Jasprit Bumrah and Co. should be able to get the job done in that department.

It must be said, however, that India themselves haven't been anywhere close to their best with the bat. Rohit Sharma hasn't been able to buy a run since his knock against Ireland, while Virat Kohli has fared even worse.

Shivam Dube seems to be out of sorts, too. Rishabh Pant has done well in the powerplay but hasn't been able to carry that form into the middle overs, leaving Suryakumar Yadav with the bulk of the responsibility in that phase.

Nevertheless, while Rohit and Co. aren't at their best and will be up against a talented bowling attack, they should be able to do enough on Saturday. India are clearly the better side and can be expected to come out on top by a comfortable margin.

Prediction: India to win Match 47 of the 2024 T20 World Cup.
