India are all set to take on Bangladesh in a two-match Test series at home, starting at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai from Thursday, September 19. The second Test of the series will be played at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur from September 27 to October 1.

For Bangladesh, Mushfiqur Rahim has scored 604 runs in eight matches, averaging 43.14, with two tons and two fifties.

Three double-hundreds have been registered in India vs Bangladesh Tests so far, with all scored by Indian batters. Indian opener Mayank Agarwal holds the record for having struck the most sixes in an innings against Bangladesh in a Test match. He hit eight maximums in his 330-ball 243 in Indore in November 2019. For Bangladesh, Shakib Al Hasan smashed six sixes in his 84 in Chattogram in December 2022.
#8 Sachin Tendulkar holds the record for most runs in an India-Bangladesh Test series
The record for most runs scored in an India vs Bangladesh Test series is also held by Tendulkar. The batting legend scored 284 runs in two Tests in 2004-05. He is also second on the list, having notched up 264 runs in two Tests in 2009-10.
