India vs England 2016: Ajinkya Rahane turns to coach Pravin Amre to help him with his batting
With India leading 2-0 in the 5 match Test series against England, the team is enjoying a well-deserved break before the 4th Test begins at the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai on December 8th. As most of the members of the team are with their family, Ajinkya Rahane decided to use up this time to work on his batting.
The vice-captain of the team has been going through a rough patch of late, as he scored only 63 runs in the three Tests against England at a low average of 12.60. He has particularly suffered against the spin trio of Moeen Ali, Adil Rashid and Zafar Ansari, having been dismissed thrice in 5 innings against them.
The prolific right-hand batsman was seen at the MCA’s Bandra-Kurla Complex ground in Mumbai where he met his coach and mentor Pravin Amre who was seen helping Rahane with his batting.

Amre, who is a former Indian cricket batsman has trained the likes of Sachin Tendulkar and Vinod Kambli. He was also the coach of the U-19 cricket team which won the world cup in 2012 and is currently the assistant coach of the Indian Premier League Delhi Daredevils.
Amre helped Rahane work on his batting by making a lot of spinners bowl to him. He was seen telling Rahane to concentrate on the angle of his bat.
After the intense practice session, Rahane seemed to look a lot more confident and he will be looking to perform better in the 4th Test.
The Indian cricket team will be looking to inflict further damage on the Englishmen and seal the series at the Wankhede stadium. With the squad announced yesterday, the selection committee decided not to add any more players to the existing 14 man squad. Ishant Sharma was released from the squad as he is set to get married on December 9th. Parthiv Patel who replaced Wriddhiman Saha in the 3rd Test was named in the squad for the 4th Test as well as Saha, who picked up an injury in the 2nd Test, has not recovered yet.
