India vs England 2016: DRS sends Karun Nair back to the pavillion

Karun Nair has not had the greatest of starts to his international career. After getting run-out during his debut Test in Mohali last week, he succumbed to yet another low score, this time in the first innings of the fourth Test at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Coming in to bowl the 94th over of the innings, Moeen Ali got one to straighten after pitching off the first delivery from around the wicket which rapped the right-hander on his pads.

The fielders went up in unison and after the on-field umpire Bruce Oxenford had adjudged it not out, opted to go for the review. The Third Umpire took a deep look, particularly the aspect where the ball was abou to hit the pads to see whether any bat was involved and after several replays came to a conclusion that there was no willow involved.

He moved on to ball tracking and the HawkEye indicated that the ball had pitched in line, the impact was fine as well and was going on to hit the stumps. As a result of that, Oxenford had to overturn his call and England had got their second wicket of the session.
