India vs England 2nd Test Day 2 Stats: Kohli scales 500 mark in three formats, Cook dismissed bowled for the first time in 10 years in Asia
India took full control of the second Test in Vishakhapatnam against England, reducing the visitors to 103 for 5 at the end of the second day. Earlier in the day, led by a superb 167 from Virat Kohli and a useful 58 from Ravichandran Ashwin, India made 455 all out in the first innings and then returned to put further pressure on the visitors.
Here’s a look at all the numbers from Day Two:
80- England lost half their side on Friday with the score at 80. This is now their 6th lowest score after losing five wickets against India on Indian soil. In Ahmedabad in 2012 in the first innings, England had lost 5 wickets with 69 runs on the board.
1-Moeen Ali’s strike rate of 47.6 against India is now the best for any spin bowler with 25+ wickets in the last fifty years. He has taken 25 wickets in 7 Tests against them in Tests with a best of 6 for 67.
6-Virat Kohli's’ 167 on Friday was the sixth instance when the Indian had passed a score of 140+ in the last seven Test hundreds. The last time when he got a score under 140 was when he made 103 against Sri Lanka at Galle.
1-Kohli became the first player to make 500+ runs in all three formats of the game in a calendar year. He now has 816 runs in 9 Tests, 734 runs in 10 ODIs and 641 runs in 10 T20Is in 2016.

2-This is the second time that Alastair Cook has been dismissed bowled in Asia by a pacer. Shami got rid of him with an absolute peach. Irfan Pathan got rid of Cook in that manner in his debut Test in Nagpur in 2006.
1-Ravichandran Ashwin is now the first Indian since 1983 to have made 450+ runs with the bat and taken 45+ wickets with the ball. The 30-year-old has made 466 runs and taken 49 wickets in 2016 so far.
3-Kohli’s 167 is now the third highest score made by an Indian in their 50th Test match. Sunil Gavaskar holds the record with 221 to his name in the landmark Test.
4-Mohammad Shami became only the fourth Indian batsman to hit a six off the first ball of a Test innings. MS Dhoni, Zaheer Khan and Sachin Tendulkar are the others.
