India vs New Zealand 2019, 3rd T20I: Player Ratings
After having leveled the series at 1-1 with an 8-wicket victory at Auckland, a confident Indian Team took on New Zealand in the 3rd and final T20I at Hamilton.
Indian skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss for the second time in the series and decided to field first. However, Rohit's decision to do that backfired as New Zealand batsmen posted a huge score of 212 in 20 overs on a flat batting pitch.
Chasing 213 runs to win their maiden T20 international series in New Zealand, the Indian batsmen put up a brave fight but fell short by just 4 runs as they ended up at 208/6 in their 20 overs to hand over the 3-match T20I series to the Black Caps.

Tim Seifert- 8/10
The wicket-keeper batsman was once again in his elements as he scored a quickfire 43 off 25 balls and added 80 runs for the opening wicket in just 7.4 overs to lay the foundation for New Zealand's big total. For his brilliant batting performance in the series, Tim Seifert was also rewarded with the Player of the Series trophy.
Colin Munro- 10/10
After struggling for runs in the ODI series and the subsequent 2 T20Is, the hard hitting Colin Munro finally found some form in the last match of the series as he was the top scorer in match with 72 runs off just 40 balls.
Kane Williamson- 5/10
As has been the case in the whole series, New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson once again got off to a good start but failed to carry on and was dismissed after scoring 27 runs off 21 balls by a slower bouncer from Khaleel Ahmed.
Colin de Grandhomme- 6/10
New Zealand's lone batting star from the 2nd T20I, Colin de Grandhomme continued his good form and scored a quickfire 30 off just 16 balls before being dismissed by Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the 19th over.
Daryl Mitchell- 7/10
The 27-year-old had a match to remember as he first provided the finishing touches to New Zealand's innings with the bat by scoring a quickfire, unbeaten 19 off 11 balls and also picked up important wickets of Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni with the ball.
Ross Taylor- 5/10
The veteran batsman did not have much to do in the match as he came to bat at the fag end of the New Zealand innings and scored a quickfire, unbeaten 14.
Mitchell Santner- 5/10
Despite conceding 32 runs in his 3 overs, Santner picked up two wickets at crucial junctures to derail India's chase.
Scott Kuggeleijn- 3/10
Kuggeleijn once again had a bad outing with the ball as he bowled an expensive spell of 4-0-37-1.
Tim Southee- 2/10
The experienced Kiwi pacer had an off day once again as he conceded 47 runs from his 4 overs but still managed to hold his nerves and defended 16 runs in the last over to help New Zealand win the match and the series.
Ish Sodhi- 1/10
The leg-spinner to0 had a bad day with the ball as his bowling was smashed for 30 runs in 2 overs by the Indian batsmen.
Blair Tickner- 5/10
Playing his debut game, Blair Tickner was the best Kiwi bowler on display in the match as he bowled an economical spell of 4-0-34-1 on a day where more than 400 runs were scored over the course 40 overs.
