India vs Sri Lanka 2017, 2nd T20I: Team India's probable XI

After winning the Test and ODI series against touring Sri Lanka, India took a 1-0 lead in the three-match T20I series as well.

After posting a competitive total of 180/3 in 20 overs, the Rohit Sharma-led unit derailed Thisara Perera & Co.'s inning as the visitors crumbled under pressure and crashed at 87 in just 16 overs.

By beating Sri Lanka comprehensively by 93 runs at Cuttack on Wednesday, the Men in Blue recorded their biggest T20I win while batting first.

As the action now moves to Indore, here's our predicted XI for the 2nd T20I to be played on Friday, December 22.

Rohit Sharma

The stand-in captain has been quite impressive with his razor-sharp leadership skills in the limited-over encounters against Sri Lanka.

Although he could not produce fireworks with his bat at the Barabati Stadium, owing to his 17-run innings, Rohit became the second Indian after Virat Kohli to score 1500 runs in T20Is.

The Hitman could not get a lot of runs under his belt on Wednesday but on his day, he can be the most destructive batsman in the shortest format of the game.

KL Rahul

India's regular opener Shikhar Dhawan has been rested for the ongoing series and that is why KL Rahul was sent out to open the innings with Rohit in the first T20I but the 25-year-old did not disappoint.

Rahul brought up his second T20I fifty as he played a splendid knock of 61 off 48 which enabled India to amass 180 in 20 overs.
