India vs Sri Lanka 2017, 2nd T20I: Hits and misses
Ton-up Rohit Sharma led India to a massive 88-run win in the second T20I at Indore to win the three-match series 2-0 on Friday.
Put in to bat, riding on explosive knocks from Rohit and KL Rahul, the Men in Blue posted 260/5, joint second-highest total in T20Is.
Sri Lankan batsmen were caught in the spin once again as they faltered in another chase by finally being dismissed at 172 in 17.2 overs.
Now, let's have a look at the hits and misses from the 2nd T20I.
Miss: Akila Dananjaya
Akila Dananjaya, who was brought in to lead Sri Lanka's spin attack in the T20I series against India, could not live up to his tag of being a mystery bowler as he was thrashed all around the park by the Indian batsmen.
Although all of the visitors' bowlers were taken to the cleaners by Rohit Sharma & Co., Akila particularly failed to adapt to the conditions as he remained wicketless in 3.4 overs and conceded 49 runs at a rate of 13.36 per over.
As Akila failed to make an impact, his Indian counterparts Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav shared seven wickets between them and derailed Sri Lanka's chase.
