India vs Sri Lanka, 2017: How the Indian squad fared in the ODI series
India won the decider match against Sri Lanka by 8 wickets, and clinched the series by 2-1. After suffering an embarrassing loss in the first match, India fought back strongly in Mohali and Visakhapatnam to win the series.
India's top order looked in sublime form, whereas the middle order batsmen struggled to score runs when there was an opportunity to do so in the first match. In the bowling department, spin was its best, and fast bowlers did a decent job in the series.

Rohit Sharma: 8/10
Rohit Sharma scored the most number of runs in the series. Apart from the second match, he did not trouble the scoreboard in the remaining matches.
He scored 217 runs at an average of 108.5 with 1 double century to his name. In terms of captaincy, he showed fighting character in the series, trailing by 1-0. He was also proactive with bowling changes and field settings. In his debut series as captain, he won the series 2-1.
Shikhar Dhawan: 9/10
Though he was off-color in the first match, Dhawan made up for it and scored 68 runs in the second match, and blazing century in the decider match. He scored 168 runs in 3 matches and looked in supreme touch. He was also presented with the Man of the Series award for his consistent performance.
Shreyas Iyer: 8.5/10
One of the biggest positives from the series was the emergence of Shreyas Iyer. He failed to impress in the first match, but after getting another opportunity, he grabbed it with both hands and scored a blazing knock of 88 runs in the second match. He even went on to score another handy half-century in the third match. Overall he scored 162 runs at an average of 54, with 2 half-centuries and is one of the strong contenders at no 4 in the middle order.
