India vs West Indies, 3rd Test Day 5 Stats: Virat Kohli's team fulfill Caribbean duet

Kohli became the first Indian captain to win two Tests in an away series against West Indies

After Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s heroics had broke open the match yesterday, India’s batsmen looked to add a few more runs to their already strong lead and give their bowlers ample time to seal the deal.

Despite the hosts seizing the opportunity to pick up a few wickets, Ajinkya Rahane continued to find the gaps relentlessly and ensured that skipper Virat Kohli was convinced with setting a target of 346.

Armed with a fifth day pitch which offered some assistance, their new-ball proponents helped the visitors off to a perfect start by sending back both openers in a jiffy. The experienced Ishant Sharma accounted for Marlon Samuels and the in-form Roston Chase with his trademark late in-swing.

West Indies did not help themselves as loose shots and indecisive running aggravated their woes. In the end, they were demolished for just 108 as the Indian bowling attack came together to deliver another series victory in the Caribbean with one match still left to play.
