Indian Wing Commander Abhinandan had been captured by Pakistan on Wednesday. Entire India hailed the speech of the Wing Commander when he was captured by the Pakistan army. Yesterday, former Pakistan captain and the current prime minister Imran Khan announced that Abhinandan would be released on Friday. 

India was eagerly waiting to see the return of their brave son. After a three hours delay, Abhinandan returned to India on Friday night. The country was elated to see him back to India. He was the only talk of the country in the past three days. His brave words have gone viral throughout the world. He brought the entire country together in the last few days, and he has taken patriotism to the next level. 

People are hoping that the tensions from both countries will de-escalate after the release of Abhinandan. Indians are circulating pictures and paintings of the Wing Commander with superlative quotes to mark the respect. It is really heartwarming to see all this patriotism. 

Here is the official statement from Pakistan: 

"The captured Indian Air Force Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman has been returned to India today. He was arrested when his military jet MIG-21 crashed in Azad Jammu and Kashmir after being shot down by Pakistan Air Force for violating Pakistani airspace on February 27, 2019." The statement added. While in captivity, he was treated with dignity and in line with international law. Prime Minister of Pakistan Mr. Imran Khan announced his return as a goodwill gesture aimed at de-escalating rising tensions with India."
