Sahara Pune Warriors India will play their first match of IPL 2012 against their neighbors Mumbai Indians who have already played one match where they had comprehensively beaten Chennai Super Kings.

Pune mentor-cum-captain Sourav Ganguly had walked out in a turquoise blue jersey during the opening ceremony in Chennai. They will be hoping that the change in colors will bring a change in fortune for the team as well! They have been making quite many off-field headlines and will now look to make them for all the right reasons on the field. They are without their star player Yuvraj Singh who is recovering from cancer. They’ll also be missing the services of Michael Clarke and Angelo Mathews as both of them are on national duty currently. But they have enough arsenal in Robin Uthappa, Jesse Ryder and Tamim Iqbal along with Rahul Sharma to sweep aside their opponents.

Mumbai had a brilliant start to their campaign this season and will be looking to give the same lively performance on the field today. Their only worry is the availability of Sachin Tendulkar who had injured his finger during the last match, although their new captain Harbhajan Singh was confident about Sachin’s availability in this match.
