IPL 2014: Dale Steyn believes his team-mates Karn Sharma and LK Rahul have bright futures with India
With bowlers such as Dale Steyn, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Amit Mishra, Darren Sammy, Ishant Sharma etc, SRH is regarded as a team with one of the strongest bowling attacks on paper. The presence of South African fast bowler Dale Steyn in particular has been a huge benefit for some of the domestic players in the team. Having realized the potential of some of the budding Indian talent, Steyn praised Uttar Pradesh lad Karn Sharma and batsman Lokesh Rahul for their talent.
World famous Steyn, who has managed to scalp only 11 wickets so far, expressed his admiration towards the 22-year-old Karnataka born batsman, Lokesh Rahul by admitting that the young gun has 'serious class'.
"KL Rahul is, in my opinion, a man destined to play for India. He hasn't quite scored the runs he would have liked this year, but I've seen a few batsmen in my career and he is serious class," Steyn wrote for Times of India.
"I don't believe in curses or jinxes which is why I'm happy to express my opinion about him. It may not happen this year, or even next, but I expect him to play for his country under MS Dhoni at some point." Steyn opined.
Steyn, 30, went on to emanate his confidence in the hard-working Karn Sharma, who has played a crucial role for his team by dismissing powerful players such as Chris Gayle, Yuvraj Singh etc.
"Karn Sharma is another team-mate I'm happy to shine my spotlight on. In a country with about a million good spinners, he has something different and stands out for me, both technically and mentally. So people can keep a lookout for his name in the future, too." Steyn stated.
