Ahead of their match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Kings XI Punjab skipper George Bailey has admitted that there is no room for complacency.

“I think they have got a very strong side, I don’t think they have any obvious weakness. They have got a strong batting line-up and they have got one of the best bowling line-ups. It is going to be a tough contest against them,” Bailey said.

There is little doubt about Punjab’s performance in this season of the IPL. With 14 points, Punjab are comfortable placed second on the points table. The Australian cricketer said that his team constantly tries to improve in every game.

“Regardless of a win or loss we are always trying to get better. In the last game (vs KKR), we probably lost too many wickets in the middle. When we tried to launch at the end, we were 5 or 6 down when we would rather be 2-3 down, which made it harder to try and attack their best bowlers,” he said.

“To be honest, I don’t think we bowled too badly. They batted well. I don’t think we have to do anything too much different but we are always trying to get better,” he added.

When asked about the loss against KKR, Bailey said: “I guess any time you lose, it is a refresher that any team can beat any team. So, it is a good reminder that no matter how well you are playing, on any given day, you have got to turn up and play your very best.”
