IPL 2016: Chris Gayle gives the world a glimpse of daughter 'Blush'

Chris Gayle was the Orange Cap winner in 2012 with 733 runs

Royal Challengers Bangalore are lagging in this year's Indian Premier League and are currently in seventh position in the IPL table. They have to win 5 out of their remaining 6 games to qualify for the play-offs. Caribbean big-hitter, Chris Gayle, has failed to make an impact this season and has registered scores of 1, 0, 7 in his last three innings for RCB.

Gayle missed three games in between as he left the RCB squad to be with his family back in the West Indies to welcome his first child. The destructive opener was also dropped for the remaining three games due to poor run of form, which included tonight's clash against Kings XI Punjab at Mohali.

The swashbuckling batsman was blessed with a baby girl on 21 April. There were various speculations behind the reason for Gayle naming his daughter ‘Blush’. Most people were of the opinion that he named her after his Big Bash League’s “don’t blush baby” controversy.

On the occasion of Mother’s Day yesterday, Gayle took to Instagram to wish his wife and all the other mothers around the world. He posted an adorable family photograph of him carrying ‘Blush’ with his wife alongside him. This was the baby’s first picture on social media.

He wrote a very sweet caption which read,

“Over the last couple years I used to tease you and say happy Mother’s Day – well, today it’s for real. Happy Mother’s Day Tash . I want to wish all Moms a wonderful day. There’s a glimpse of Blush #BossLadies.”
