IPL 2016: Harbhajan requests media to leave Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma alone
Ace Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh has requested media to keep away from Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma's relationship, saying that it is their personal life and it should not be discussed in public.
Virat Kohli had earlier slammed the trolls on social media for cyber harassing Anushka Sharma during the T20 World Cup. He had posted an image on twitter which read "shame" and had also tweet saying , "Shame on people for trolling Anushka Sharma non-stop. Have some compassion. She has always only given me positivity." The tweet also drew reactions from various celebrities like Kapil Dev, Sunil Gavaskar, Arjun Kapoor and now, Harbhajan, who have spoken in favour of their privacy and have also lauded Virat for standing up against trolls.

At a press conference after Mumbai Indians' loss to Rising Pune Supergiants, Harbhajan was asked if the saga has been stretched too much. "All I want to say is that’s their private life and I would like to respect their privacy. I would also request the media to stay away from their life, let them live their life and I really don’t know what they are doing. Every individual has a right to live their life so we must just respect their privacy," he said.
The Mumbai Indians faced a nine-wicket loss to RPSG during the first match of IPL 2016 at the Wankhede on Saturday. Harbhajan, being the sole-standing batsman, made a blistering knock of 45 off 30 balls, smashing seven fours and one six, taking Mumbai Indians to 121 at the end of 20 overs.
“IPL has been a great tournament not only for youngsters but also for cricketers like us who have played cricket for more than 15 years. It’s going to be an exciting season ahead and we’re all looking forward to it,” said the 35- year old off-spinner.
