Kolkata Knight Riders lost Robin Uthappa early. Gambhir had to play the anchor role and hold the innings together for KKR. Manish Pandey was on song. Gambhir and Pandey scored half-centuries. In the death overs, it was all Andre Russell. He scored 39 runs in just 19 balls.
Royal Challengers Bangalore started firmly. Chris Gayle found his long-lost form. It was spectacular Virat Kohli once again. He scored yet another half-century. AB de Villiers had a great game too. He too hit a fifty.
