Mumbai Indians visit Mohali to take on the Kings XI Punjab at the IS Bindra Stadium. The defending champions haven't had the ideal start to their IPL campaign with only two wins from six games which see leads to them sitting 6th in the table. The Kings have started the season indifferently as well, with only a single victory from their five games. Both teams will look for a win to kick-start their campaign when they face off against each other.

Mumbai the champions in 2013 and 2015 are prone to such starts. Thankfully, the Mumbai Indians supporters can take heart from the fact that they are better off this season than last, where they had only a single victory from their first 6 games (and went on to win the championship). Mumbai Indians coaching staff has the likes of Ricky Ponting, Jonty Rhodes, Robin Singh and a certain Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar who were the very best in business. With such legends at the helm and such a strong squad, we can certainly expect better performances from Mumbai in their upcoming games.

Let's see how Mumbai Indians might line up for today’s KXIP vs MI game:
Batsman: Indian opener and the Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma will open the batting along with Parthiv Patel. Rohit has had a couple of great innings in this IPL and on both occasions Mumbai ended up on the winning side. Parthiv Patel is a pocket size rocket who is yet to fire in this IPL but has had a couple of good starts and Mumbai fans will be hoping for their opening pair to come out all guns blazing against the Kings.
Ambati Rayudu walks into bat at Number 3 and has been a part of the Mumbai squad since 2010. He has been a prolific run-getter for the franchise and has already scored a half-century this season. The England wicket-keeper batsman Jos Buttler walks in at Number 4 and the Englishman had impressed in the World T20 and we all know what he is capable of.
All-Rounders: The Mumbai squad has an exciting bunch of all-rounder in their ranks. The Pandya brothers Krunal and Hardik and the Calypso giant Kieron Pollard. A lot was expected out of Hardik who had been part of the Indian squad for the Asia Cup and the World T20, but he has fallen short of expectations, instead, it is Krunal is impressing this season scoring 105 runs in 4 games and picking up 3 wickets giving away runs at a miserly economy of only 6.
Kieron Pollard is a class act with both bat and ball, he might not have got the opportunity this season to impress with the ball but with the bat he has been delivering the goods.
Bowlers: Mumbai in their previous games have opted for three pacers to lead their bowling attack and in Mohali where the conditions favour the fast bowlers I don't think Mumbai will take a different approach. So they should start with Bumrah, McClenaghan, and Southee.
Harbhajan Singh, a veteran of many battles for both India and Mumbai plays his first class cricket for Punjab, so he will be no stranger to the conditions at Mohali. A player of his immense experience will be invaluable with the ball for Mumbai.
