IPL 2016 Opening Ceremony Tickets: Know How to Book tickets online
The 9th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) would kick off with the opening ceremony in Mumbai on April 8. The inauguration of the sporting extravaganza would take place at the Dome- NSCI-SVP Stadium, Mumbai.

The tickets for the opening ceremony are now available and can be booked online through the website bookmyshow.com. The event is expected to be a glittering one with Bollywood and international celebrities set to perform that night. The ceremony would start at 7:30 PM (IST).

Prices of tickets and how to book them
The tickets, that have gone live now, can be booked through the website bookmyshow.com here. The prices start from Rs. 10,000 for Black Silver seats and Rs. 15,000 for Balck Gold seats.
Payments can be made using debit/credit cards, and the tickets can also be availed on EMI. However, internet handling chanrges per ticket would also be levied while making the payment online.

The ceremony
The opening ceremony of an event as big as the IPL is expected to be equallu enormous, testimonies to which are performances by English bands, and Bollywood celebrities like Katrina Kaif, Ranveer Singh, Jacquline Fernandez, and Yo Yo Honey Singh.
Chris Brown, the American rapper, Major Lazer, the American dancehall reggae trio, Fuse ODG, the English rapper, and American-Jamaican artist Nailah Thorbourne are scheduled to set the stage on fire this Friday night.
“At IPL we treat the whole city like one scene and we bring everyone out for music, food, and just good energy all around. All of us in Major Lazer are excited to be back in India bringing the carnival to the fans,” the dance group Major Lazer said, as reported by the Press Trust of India.
The 9th edition of the IPL kicks off on April 9 with the defending champions, the Mumbai Indians, taking on one of the two new franchises, the Rising Pune Supergriants, at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.
