IPL 2016, SRH vs KXIP Playing 11: List of today's Probable XI for Sunrisers Hyderabad
The 18th match of the VIVO IPL 2016 will be played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Saturday and will see home side Sunrisers Hyderabad lock horns against Kings XI Punjab. The Sunrisers have fought back remarkably after suffering two huge losses in their first two matches to find themselves placed fourth in the league table courtesy of back-to-back victories. KXIP, on the other hand, seemed to have picked up from where they left in the previous season and have managed just 1 win out of 4 matches to stay put at the bottom of the points table. SRH will look to hold on to their good form whereas as Punjab will want to find a way to win matches.
Here's how we think the Sunrisers Hyderabad will line up for their match against KXIP:
Batting
The Sunrisers Hyderabad batting in the 2016 IPL has been all about their skipper David Warner, who has scored 235 runs in 4 matches and is presently the Orange Cap holder. In fact, the southpaw has scored unbeaten half-centuries in both SRH victories so far. Eoin Morgan and Shikhar Dhawan have also shown glimpses of form with a half-century each.
However, their batting line-up will have to fire as a whole if the Sunrisers want to continue with their winning ways. Other batsmen will have to share the skipper's burden and make big contributions to the team's purpose.
All-rounders
SRH have a number of all-rounders in their team who can make a huge difference to the team's fortunes. The likes of Moises Henriques, Deepak Hooda and Ashish Reddy can all be equally good with both bat and ball. But they have somehow not fired in the 2016 edition of the IPL so far.
Even bowlers such as Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Karn Sharma have the ability to pitch in with the bat whenever required. For the Hyderabad team to continue with their fine run of form, the all-rounders will need to contribute even more.
Bowling
The most impressive aspect of SRH's performance in the tournament has been the form of their bowlers. To start off with, Bhuvneshwar Kumar has rediscovered his touch to pick up 7 wickets in the season. The inclusion of Bangladesh's Mustafizur Rahman has further bolstered the Hyderabad bowling attack and the left-arm pacer has 5 wickets already.
Young Indian fast bowler Barinder Sran has also done his job well with 4 wickets in 3 matches. Even though the Sunrisers are missing out on veteran pacer Ashish Nehra, the other bowlers have more than made up for his absence.
The spin attack has been a concern for Hyderabad as their premier spinner Karn Sharma has struggled for form and the others have also not done much of note. If the spinners can support the fast bowlers well, it may be quite difficult to stop SRH in their tracks.
Probable Playing XI – David Warner (c), Shikhar Dhawan, Moises Henriques, Deepak Hooda, Naman Ojha (wk), Aditya Tare, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mustafizur Rahman, Bipul Sharma, Barinder Sran.
