IPL 2016, Stats: All-round Krunal Pandya helps Mumbai Indians thrash Delhi Daredevils by 80 runs

Mumbai Indians kept their playoff hopes alive after they defeated an in-form Delhi Daredevils by 80 runs at Vizag on Sunday. The defending champions were propelled to their first 200-plus total of the Indian Premier League (IPL) after a brilliant batting performance by all-rounder, Krunal Pandya.

The older Pandya was ably supported by Martin Guptill after captain, Rohit Sharma got the Mumbai franchise off to a great start. In reply, Delhi looked like they were in the contest when opener Quinton de Kock was there.

However, the Mumbai bowlers came up with the right kind of performance that complemented their batting as they bowled the Daredevils out for 126.

1 – Krunal Pandya became the first Mumbai Indians player to score more than 75 runs and pick up two or more wickets in a match.

1 – This was the first time that three spinners have conceded more than 40 runs in a single innings. Amit Mishra (42), Shahbaz Nadeem (42) and Imran Tahir (59) were the three spinners.

1 – Delhi Daredevils are the only team to have been all-out twice this IPL.

2 – Mumbai Indians became only the second team this IPL to score more than 200 in an innings. Royal Challengers Bangalore is the only other team.

3 – This is the third time that Mumbai has scored a 200-plus total against Delhi Daredevils. This is their most against any particular opposition.

5 – Mumbai Indians’ total of 207 was their fifth-highest in IPL.

6 – Krunal Pandya scored six sixes in his knock of 86. This was the joint-most by an Indian batsman for Mumbai Indians.

22 – Krunal Pandya scored his fifty in 22 balls. This was the third fastest half-century this IPL.

23 – Imran Tahir conceded 23 runs in his third over. This was his most expensive over in the IPL.

59 – Imran Tahir conceded 59 run in his spell of four overs. This was the third most expensive spell by an overseas bowler in IPL.

80 – The number of runs by which Mumbai defeated Delhi. This was their third biggest in the IPL.

143 – The number of runs conceded by spinners in the first innings of the match. This is the second highest in any T20 match in India.

192.56 – Krunal Pandya's strike rate this IPL. He has scored 233 runs in 11 matches at an average of 46.60.
